After rising just before 7 AM , packing our last minute items, and catching a ride to the bus (thanks Marshall!) we have finally commenced on our long-anticipated trip to Ireland. As luck would have it, Megabus was offering a Groupon and we were able to book two luxury bus tickets (um...is 'luxury bus' an oxymoron?) for the trip up to New York City, where we are flying out of.
Today might just be the longest day of travel ever. Ever ever. OK, maybe that's an exaggeration. Our 9 AM Megabus takes us to New York, where we will feast on authentic New York bagels at Murray's Bagels in Chelsea (recently seen on Food Network) before the long subway ride out to JFK International Airport in Queens. Perhaps I should have waited until we were at the airport, stealing their WiFi, before exclaiming that we were on our way, because really, it feels like we're not even close right now :)
